-Xander is a shaman pony in that he can connect and talk to spirits both living and dead. He talks to spirits both living and dead. He performs rituals and uses charms to enhance his abilities. Some of the spirits he talks to speak of Equestria becoming a heavenly paradise, while other spirits speak of a coming apocalypse.

-He lives in the Everfree Forest in a giant hollowed out tree adorned with masks and trinkets. He has a cave close by that he uses for storage. He is originally from Ponyville.

-He is the only child of his mother Sun Spark and father Dark Thorn. He doesn't like to talk about his parents, he says that talking about his childhood brings back ''bad memories.''

-He also likes experimenting with all kinds of herbs, plants and other ingredients from the forest to create medicinal poultices, potions and poisons. Years of extended testing using his own body has made him resistant to almost all of the forest's poisons.

-His face paint is influenced by a rare and dark creature from another dimension. He saw a muddled vision in one of his trips to the spirit world and painted his face in the image of what he thought it looked like.

-Since he lives on his own, he trains using his hooves and spears to protect himself from danger. He tries to make up his lack of strength and size with speed and skill. Those who have threatened him say that his hoof strikes burn your skin, and his spear slashes paralyze your muscles.

-Though he has a bizarre appearance, he does like helping the few ponies he meets. Even if they are cautious or even scared by his appearance. He says that: ''Fear of the unknown labels me as 'crazy' or 'not normal', I help ponies to show that when I am known, I am not to be feared.''

-He has a soft spot for nature and animals. He likes everything from adorable little bunnies to big and frightening manticores. He has tried to introduce himself to Fluttershy, but he is worried about what she'll think of him when she see's him. Somepony has a crush! ^^

-Finally, the amulet around his neck is not the actual alicorn amulet, it is a replica. He wears it as a charm to enhance his abilities. It is also his favorite charm.


Nighteyes bio:  A son of a soldier that was a son of a soldier, it was in his blood from birth.
His one act of rebellion throughout his adolescents was choosing to serve a Princess that was not even present to give him orders, but banish to the moon, instead of the Princess of the sun as his entire family had until then. This one act had his brothers and father turn their backs on him, though his mother still sent him letters every now and then.

Nighteyes quickly rose through the ranks to find his place as Captain of a special unit of the Night Guard, The Timberwolves, specialized in carrying out high risk operations under the cover of night against extreme opposition. They always found a way to complete their missions through a mix of courage, endurance and stubborn refusal to submit. This meant they often had heavy injuries during missions, though surprisingly few deaths and even a handful of missions earned them respect among those who even know they existed and gave great possibilities for promotions and lucrative positions afterwards.

At the return of Nightmare Moon, he and a select few among his unit had prepared to make a stand against the evil incarnation of their princess and incapacitate her until a way to return her to her former glory could be found. Their joy at both her return and not having to confront her was short-lived, for even though Luna herself was proud of the few who had had her best interest at heart, her generals had had a thousand years to change their thinking to one that would have suited Nightmare Moons armies far better and they punished these upstarts severely. Both physically and through demotion. Loyalty to anyone but the corps, even the true Princess of the Night, was frowned upon by some at the top at the time. This earnt Nighteyes the rank of sergeant, because even a disloyal soldier with his record ought not be wasted entirely for one mistake.

To this day he remains a operative for The Timberwolves and he have even risen in rank to one that allows him a high degree of personal freedom throughout the lands, though anytime his particular skillset is required he is bound to answer the call.

Now that the leaders of the Night Guard have changed their views on the direction of the corps he is often used as a single operative to search out dissidents, cults and opposition to the princesses due to the personal loyalty he showed even during the absence of the Princess they served.
